I figured the food all pretty much looks the same, and professional shots are already on google, so didn't bother.
Yes, but Dan needs to post an original picture on his DDMS post in his upcoming news roundup (halevei!!)

And Israelis laugh when I say that kashrus is so much easier in the US.

If Lakewood was BMG and Deal and Great Neck and Monroe and Postville and Crown Height, and Birmigham Alabama, and Montreal and Mexico City, and and squeezed into a space half the size of your lawn in cleveland , and you expected that everything would be acceptable to everyone...

Israelis who demand KCL/CRC level kashrus don't frequent the shuk...

Pics?
I went this week, was quite impressed, and I felt like @yawn put it down well
there is nowhere else you can go and not feel like you are eating the 17th version of the same dish. This is a completely new concept, and it's done extremely well.
Food was very unique and had lot of flavor and they were very generous with everything and extra dips. We ordered the Shamburak Asado and the Brisket one, both very solid.
They ran out of the Malabi dessert and basbusa so we skipped my b-day party :'(

You're stuck way too deep in the Israeli Kashrus politics.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

You're stuck way too deep in the Israeli Kashrus politics.

Two things can be true at once  ;D

Communaly, sociologicaly, frum politicaly, and kashruswise the US IS a simpler place.

What does space have to do with it?

I can travel around the US and nearly every kosher restaurant is under a hashgocha on the CRC list.

In Israel, nearly every kosher restaurant has zero consensus. It doesn't have to be this way, there's just not enough cooperation and respect between the hechsherim as there is in the US IMHO.

In the US it will rarely be profitable to have a sub-par hechsher.

If hechsherim would join forces in Israel to have standards and publicize them to both the Israeli and American crowd, it could be the same way.

Instead there's a giant vacuum.

Maybe in Israel people make more of a fuss about the hechsherim levels, whereas in America either you consider every hechsher on the cRc list good enough or you stick quietly to your preferred hechsherim.

I'm saying that it's not necessarily the politics which makes the noise, it's the expectations differences. Frumer people in Israel expect Eida all over while in America you don't expect Tartikov or Hisachdus in Manhattan or in Miami.

We're on the same page, though a lot of that is politics. The question is, where are the lines and how do you compare?
Is the US, that's fairly easy in most cities.

Nu nu, because by default everything is kosher so it has to be just politics. We know that already.

It doesn't have to be that way. I feel like every country has their galus lessons to learn.
