potentially the person you are getting it for may appreciate that you spent that much money on a piece of jewelry for them... "if it were real it would be worth a lot more but it was made in a lab so i got a good deal"

then again if the person your getting it for doesn't have an appreciation for the a natural mined diamond then why not buy a very nice CZ for much less then a lab made?

Cubic zirconia scratches easily from daily use-even household dust can scratch the stones.

It is the same for all intents and purposes. Functionality, look, durability, etc. It is chemically and structurally identical (other than minute differences in nitrogen). Even an expert jeweler with a loupe will not be able to tell the difference. It takes specialized equipment.
