Just call them and explain you would like to put through a charge over the credit limit. They will transfer you to the financial department and ask a few questions about you business. They will then put you on hold for 2 min and review your account WITH OUT A CREDIT PULL and usually adjust the flexible spend line. (2X success).
I've also had success but not by that much, from 6K to 15K?

Hold onto that for now, wait a month and call again. (as long as you are maintaining the credit line they will usually approve you request).

Is that adjustment a temporary, one-time thing or is it changed permanently? Also, just to be clear, there has never been a case of a charge card's spending limit being viewed as a line of credit, to shift over to another account when closing?

Some times they will just want you to close some old cards in order to approve a new one, in such case the  Bold should be fine, however when they look for shifting CL usually they wont take the Bold.

If I have an IB with 5k flexible limit, and a SP with a 10k CL, can I ask Chase to temporarily use the line of credit on my IB even though it is a charge card? That is, make purchases up to 15k on the IB and the SP will be frozen until the IB balance is paid, as a one-time thing?

I never heard of such a thing. Why don't you ask them permission to spend 15K straight up on your IB?

I could do that, I just wanted to ask for the most they'd be comfortable with, then add more that they don't need to be comfortable with because they've already agreed to it. In case OM has a really, really good sale.  ;)

It's 5x points only on spending up to 50K.  So maxing out your 5K limit every month for 10 months will hit that annual limit.
Of course, opening a new one starts the count over again.  Come to think of it, since it's a calendar year and if you got the card late in the year...

Actually, the maskana from the discussion above (pages 31,32, reply #471) seems that it resets on the card's anniversary. But my point was to cash in on an OM sale, and to cram as much of the 50k as possible into a short window. Hence, my question. Anyone?

-1 its not calendar year as clearly stated in your Cardmember Agreement its from the cards anniversary so the time of year wouldn't make a difference.

+1 agree. I max out a couple of INKS, and they all restart at the anniversary date.

Does the annual fee post to the account at the end of 13th statement or beginning?

I'm looking to close my IB card yet keep the $5k soft limit by transferring it either to my IP or SP. CSR said it's not doable because it's a charge card. HUCAd 3 times with the same response. Can this be taken care of via SM or can it not be done at all? Suggestions?
