Where have you heard that it is? I've heard that although rare, people have gotten approved for the Sapphire since 5/24, hence, "it isn't set in stone."

Dan writes that people have gotten approved by going into a branch and having a banker send in a special reconsideration form.  http://www.dansdeals.com/index.php?s=chase+sapphire
There are innumerable data points of people being turned down. How many data points of successful recon are there? (I'm not talking about auto approval, which is pretty rare too.)
I would think that this policy is gonna go away sooner or later, now that they're denying people who've gotten the bonus in the past 24 months. Hopefully it'll become a standard "unchurnable" card, like the other chase cards.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

this is just an FYI not adding or taking away anything you are saying.. there are 2 different kind of wording that declination's have.. 1 of them is recon'able & 1 is "nothing to do".. More times than not the chase UR cards will have the "nothing to reconsider" wording to them.. It doesnt say "nothing to reconsider" but something to that effect when the reps look at it

I have no idea how many data points there are of successful recon. Anyway auto approvals are included in 5/24. If you are saying that you know of people who got auto approved for the CSP despite 5/24, then those are data points that 5/24 is not set in stone.

What success stories were you referring to when you said that you've heard successful cases, albeit rare?

No I have not, and nor have I have I heard of a single instance of failure due to 5/24, outside of ddf as none of my family or friends are in the credit card game.
Apparently Dan has family and friends in the credit card game, and apparently he's heard of people having success using that method.

As of now you could still get approved for the Ink even with 5/24 & if you get approved you'll get the bonus.

I know that INK have bonus for up to $25,000 a year - does it apply to any bonus (like 5x, 3x, etc)?
Do you guys try to use it only with 5x stores to maximize the points?

I have a (legacy) Ink bold business, earn 1 point per dollar, plus 20% bonus, plus bonus points at the end of the year. I thought I was getting 5x, but doesn't seem like it. Have I been wrong all this time?

Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Now I'm confused.  If I'm getting the 20% bonus do I have the old card? Or the new card?
Do you think I should switch? I generate a million or so ur points yearly with this card.
