Amex blue cash preferred gives 6% on the first 6k of groceries, 3% for gas, 1% for everything else. Has a $95 annual fee so if you just use it for 6k in groceries you'll net about 4.5%.

you can't redeem Amex mr points for straight Cash back at 1cent per point. They give .7 cents per point so 4 points per dollar is really 2.8 cents per dollar. Furthermore they don't give straight Cash back or even statement credit it goes based on your purchases for example if you have 1000 mr points and a $100 dollar statement they won't give you $7 off your statement ( .7 cents per point x1000 =$7) only if you had a $7 purchase in that statement would you be able to redeem this 1000 points for that transaction. Even the amex Cash back cards ( blue cash...) Don't give cash back, only statement credits in increments of $25
