Amex offer for ebags currently is $30 off $150 so if you buy 2 backpacks you might need to add something small

I have the Tortuga Setout and love it. I have the 45L size and I've never been asked to check the bag at the gate or even try to put it in the fitting cage by an agent. I've even carried it on to smaller planes that are only 1seat/aisle/2seats across and was able to stuff it into the the overhead bin without an issue. I like that it unzips and opens up like a suitcase.
