No A3 fans here? 45k J US to TLV? Or QF for 78k on El Al with the best nonstop availability on the route?
I was looking to do FRA-SFO in Y as a one-way return segment early next month through Lifemiles in order to burn the ~20k LM points I have left from the 60k Vuela signup bonus last year. There was definitely YQ on most flights involving UA or LH metal, but the normal tricks got rid of it.
I don't currently have LM in my account so I can't see the details. Searching for FRA-SFO definitely shows $55 for SK and AC and higher charges for UA/LH, but nothing like the crazy YQ seen for LH redemptions on other programs. YQ on UA is the most unusual thing to see.
Which tricks are still alive?I miss GUM and SAW.
Wow old times! The seminar highlights! Australia too
Good times. I'm sure there are some out there, I just haven't kept up.
Better to PM me than have me research as I don't post PMs that ask for secrecy
Island hopper is 27.5k in Y. In fact, you could fly from anywhere in the US to ROR or GUM for 40k, assuming their routing rules allow it and you could get them to actually book it.
Any thoughts on this before I publish? What am I missing?https://www.dansdeals.com/points-travel/milespoints/8-awesome-award-redemption-sweet-spots-avianca-lifemiles-newest-amex-airline-transfer-partner/
My HT?That they aren't easy to deal with?Maybe integrate other partners rates such as a AC where you won't save on mileage usually?
Why is that better than UA?
