Everyone online says the TYP transfer is instant but I’ve been waiting more than 24 hours and still no miles. Citi claims it was transferred and Avianca won’t help me until 7 days of transfer. I told them my flight is in 4 days but they won’t help. Incredibly frustrating.

I assume Citi, because it says "In progress" when delayed.

Ah yeah that’s possible. Unfortunately I keep getting errors trying to log in to citi website and app so can’t check current status. But I’m going to pursue the citi route. Thanks

After going back and forth between Citi and LM for hours, I ended up doing two more transfers of 50k each (after a 1k test transfer). Citi reps believed the over 100k transfer may have caused it to get held up. Miles posted instantly and booked the flights. Only thing I can hope for now is that my TYP never transfer and I can cancel the order after 14 days.

Hmmmm... I wonder what would happen if you called up Citi and told them you suspect the 100k transfer was fraudulent. Just wondering...

i transferred citi ty to both af and qf and both werent instant. qf initiated on weekend and credited mon am (veterans day but mon nonetheless). i dont recall exactly af as it was a while ago but also not instant

Right but qf was never reported to be instant where dan and others have stated that Avianca is instant transfer.
