Where did you see that? I'm pretty sure I saw otherwise.
Can't find it now, but as you can see I'm not sure about anything. Saw someone mention as long as it's not a trade restricted country that it can work. Fwiw all the news articles make you believe that model 3s are eligible.

Really need a write up from @Dan on this one. Not sure if I should hold off from accepting delivery until Jan 1st 2023.

Still not clear about this, order date might also have to be in 2023.
This is a very important point obviously. Any info on this?

I agree! I just got a VIN from a Sept 2021 model 3 order with the NJ rebate.

Idk if I should accept delivery or push off till Jan 2023?

Anyone with some good advice?

Not a slam dunk that legislation will pass, nor is it a given that you can delay delivery until 1/1/2023.

Maskim, in a way it's pgfhs just accept it with the $5k rebate.

Not for sure this bill will pass.
Not for sure this car is eligible.
Might need a 2023 order for it.
Might have a difficult time delaying order.

Think I'm going to take delivery...

Officially its way cheaper based on reports from other states.

Think it's based on how you drive too. Could be a chisaron

It uses safety score and not the regular profiling that most insurance companies use to determine rates, and if you improve your driving your rates decrease. For example an 18 y/o boy who drives well will have the same rates as a 35 y/o woman who drives well. Not only does it not penalize based on statistics, it also incentivizes good driving habits.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

It was great initially but started falling off and even flying across the car when I turn the wheel which is scary. I would recommend the other style
Just had it fly off when turned wheel. I noticed it looked like the clip wasn’t tightly secured to wheel. Used a wrench and bend the clip a tad that clips to steering wheel. It’s tighter than ever now

I think the style that wraps around fully is probably better

Until the magnets fall out.
Those magnets needs to be bolted in, not glued.

I wouldn't use a device because I get distracted and don't trust it that much.

However I'm still trying to figure out how to keep autopilot on without issues, as the range of steering is miniscule. It feels impossible to keep it on when driving with one hand. Steer a drop too much and it disables. Too little and it doesn't stop blaring alerts.

Putting my hand on the bottom of the wheel doesn't steer enough, the top works better but it uses more effort, and sometimes it disables the system.

Trying out this one, it wraps around so it doesn't rely on clips or magnets. Initial impressions are positive.

+1. I don't own a Tesla but rented one for a week recently and I found that if I gripped the wheel with the same amount of force as my Kia requires in autosteer, the Tesla would think I'm trying to take over. Anything lighter would cause it to think I'm not holding on. Over the course of 700+ miles of mostly highway driving I don't think I was able to keep it in autosteer for more than a few miles any time. I imagine I'd get used to it over time but it wasn't easy to use for the week I had it.

Also, is there a way to set it to resume autosteer automatically after you've "taken control"? Other autosteer systems allow that.

This was amazing.
Drove to Toronto and back yesterday and today all on AP. What a game changer Tesla is for road trips.
Zero fatigue!
