The battery requirements. The rules are not finalized, but based on the bill passed by congress they should not be eligible because the batteries come from China which is not a free trade partner.

Interesting. Thank you for the info.

Chase does not cover Tesla's with their rental coverage. Use Amex instead.

More details?

Are you referring to renting a Tesla from any rental company like Hertz? Or does Chase have a problem with a specific rental company?

Chase Preferred Benefit Guide page 3

Last time I checked it did exclude Tesla. I don't have the Reserve anymore so I can't check. I have the Biz UA Club card, same identical benefits and it has Tesla exclusions.

Here's the Reserve guide in effect 8/15/21 (anyone know if there's a more up to date one?): Link

As you can see on page 3 it also excludes "antique cars" but the "high value and exotic" exclusion is not there.

Beginning today, December 1, 2022, through December 31, 2022, all new titled US Model 3 and Model Y deliveries will receive an adjustment of $3,750. The adjustment will be applied regardless of order placement date. If you ordered a new Model 3 or Model Y and are scheduled to pick up this month then you should receive that credit.

For those M3 owners out there, what's the best charging approach to maintain battery life/integrity? Charge every day or only when necessary? Charge to 85%? 90%? 95%? 100%?

Getting a lot of mixed recommendations and am curious what approach others use?

I charge when necessary to keep it between 50-80%. Only go above 80% before road trips.

RWD, LR, or P?
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

RWD has LFP batteries which Tesla recommends charging to 100% regularly and at least once a week.

Does this apply even to orders placed months ago with a lower price but will be ready in Dec?

Got this message from them regarding my Model Y order.
Quote
...Today, we are taking the next step in Tesla Vision by removing ultrasonic sensors (USS) from Model 3 and Model Y. We will continue this rollout with Model 3 and Model Y, globally, over the next few months, followed by Model S and Model X in 2023.
Along with the removal of USS, we have simultaneously launched our vision-based occupancy network – currently used in Full Self-Driving (FSD) Beta – to replace the inputs generated by USS. With today’s software, this approach gives Autopilot high-definition spatial positioning, longer range visibility and ability to identify and differentiate between objects. As with many Tesla features, our occupancy network will continue to improve rapidly over time.
For a short period of time during this transition, Tesla Vision vehicles that are not equipped with USS will be delivered with some features temporarily limited or inactive, including:
· Park Assist: alerts you of surrounding objects when the vehicle is traveling <5 mph.
· Autopark: automatically maneuvers into parallel or perpendicular parking spaces.
· Summon: manually moves your vehicle forward or in reverse via the Tesla app.
· Smart Summon: navigates your vehicle to your location or location of your choice via the Tesla app....
I’m in shape, round is a shape…

It's not necessarily split by model year, but it is a relatively recent change. If you have LFP batteries the car will tell you to charge to 100%.

It was only rolled out earlier this year. In February I was one of the first.
