How do I push off a delivery?

I keep on getting emails for the last week asking me to schedule the delivery date...

Update:
Just got this email:

Quote
If you do not schedule delivery by 4PM tomorrow,
your Model Y will be released to the next available customer and
your order will be placed on hold and is subject to cancellation

Do I have to worry about cancelation?
I’m in shape, round is a shape…

It will be "subject to cancellation". That means they will warn you that if you don't schedule pickup by the new deadline it will be cancelled.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

I have developed a new device for getting rid of AutoPilot nags. It replaces the weights and is much more effective. (Tesla is starting to implement weight detection, some cars already have it.) This one is completely software based. It tells the car that your hands are on the wheel electronically and doesn't require anything on the steering wheel. If this is something you would be interested in, it will soon be available for purchase. You can DM me, or email me at raphael@teslamodusa.com to be added to the mailing list and receive updates when it is available.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to take delivery this month so you get the $3750 credit from Tesla? Seems better than the "Potential" $7500 federal tax rebate which is not a refundable rebate and will only come in a year IF you have a tax liability

Which car are you getting? If it's the M3 RWD, there is a good chance it's not eligible, so definitely don't wait.

Flattered that I'm considered a מאן דאמר. I think it may depend on the use case of the car. Are you trying to resell or to hold? I'm curious why @avromie7 thinks M3 won't be included in the credit?

Gotcha - without knowing your order price I can't advise specifically but to give market color, its VERY hard to find buyers right now. 1) Tesla is delivering orders very quickly, has alot of ready to delivers in stock, and offering discount 2) people are banking on tax credits come Jan. 1. Just had a great deal on a practically new M3 fall through because of teslas discount

FTFY.

Some banks consider lightly used cars as new.

@~King Lake~

Unfortunately it will be very hard to find a buyer for this. People with Order prices of $60k Model Y are having trouble finding buyers. Your best hope is being able to push off until January and it qualifying for the tax credit and selling the reservation. Tesla has raised prices in the passed at the same time a tax credit came out. Very unlikely that you'll be able to hold that long, as they are putting cards on hold for only 1 week. I would not recommend taking delivery with the expectation of selling it as a flip. You will be stuck holding the bag.
