It’s good that you got free supercharging to save all this gas.
How did I get free supercharging?

My 13 month old car can now accelerate 10% faster than it did last week and it has an awesome new hold mode for one pedal driving.

What new tricks did your 13 month old car learn this week?

Pretty cool. OTOH my Camry learned how to not make the list of the 10 least reliable cars on the market. Maybe it can teach Elon Musk a thing or two.

Apples, meet oranges. Does your car have falcon wing doors?

Also as far as Model 3:

https://beebom.com/99-tesla-model-3-owners-will-recommend-the-car-to-their-friends-and-family-report/

https://www.consumerreports.org/car-reliability-owner-satisfaction/tesla-model-3-model-s-regain-consumer-reports-recommendation/

True, the model x is the one that came out way on the bottom of the reliability list this week. The model 3 has had inconsistent reliability rating although at the moment it’s back to recommended.

“Model X owners reported numerous problems, ranging from its balky falcon-wing doors (that open vertically) to noises and leaks, and it  has worse-than-average reliability.”

Still says something about how musk is running the company. Show me one Toyota model that ranks rock bottom.

My car needed a new front left axle and I was able to pay my friend half the amount that the mechanic wanted to do the repair. Come back to me when your car can do that.

The model 3 has two thirds less the amount of parts to break. Come back when your cars transmission and alternator will never need to be fixed.
I'm not who you think I am.

Seriously though your best bet is probably to hold onto the Tesla for a few years and then trade up to a new model. I somehow doubt a 10 year old Tesla is going to maintain its condition like a 10 year old Toyota.

BH. great to not have to worry about maintenance costs for 10-15 years while paying the same as I would pay to get a clunker at the end.

Tesla includes gas savings for you on their default cost of ownership calculation 😂
