Service of Spirit airlines will be the reason they don't take over the automotive world.
Nah, once they take over the world I think service will get better.

They are a 15 year old company that only started turning a profit last quarter. They are way over their head with demand for thier superior product. Once the sales become a steady number everything should even out.

What do you want them to do? Hire temporary employees for just the next year? Train them in time for them to be fired?
I'm not who you think I am.

Lol, if only that were the only problem with their service.

I don't think I mentioned what the problem with thier service is. I inferred that their production will lower and even out and everything will be more efficient.

You seemed to imply that the reason their service is bad is because of the fact that they haven't turned a profit in 15 years and they still have production kinks to work out, that just simply isn't true.

Tesla did just that. They cut (fired) 7% of their workforce this past Fri.

Do they still plan on putting in full size battery and limiting it?

Todays announcement indicates that this might be possible

I'm just surprised they actually save money by only having the big battery pack and limiting it in software over assembling two different battery packs. The marginal cost of each cell must be less than the cost of labor or something.

Tesla launches new cheaper Model S and Model X with software-limited battery pack

The problem with service is more culture related than anything else.
Tesla is light years ahead of everyone else today, so they can get away with arrogant/shoddy service. But they won't be forever.

Tesla is preparing to offer Model 3 leasing to boost demand

Tesla sent an email to employees this week to let them know they will be able to lease Model 3 within the next two weeks

https://electrek.co/2019/02/19/tesla-model-3-leasing/

Historically leases for Tesla has been very expensive. For reference on the S and X below. I would expect the 3 to be similar.

• 0.002396 money factor (5.75% APR)
• acquisition_fee: $695
• 36 month residual: 49% 15k miles, 50% 12k miles, 51% 10k miles
• 24 month residual: 54% 15k miles, 55% 12k miles, 52% 10k miles

Residual already includes the federal incentive.
Tesla doesn’t have a captive finance arm to shift losses.

Should I go with Forged Performance Wheels for Model 3 or One Week with Model S or Model X as the level 3 referral award?

Considering you can get a free 3 day test drive of the Model S or X (assuming no prior test-drive), I'd go for the wheels

Doesn't seem like the wheels will be good in the snow.

Any worse than the standard aero wheels? Even with winter tires?
