Thanks! Ya, I was under the impression if one did a test drive they were not eligible, looking around online seems like they changed that a few months ago.

So now he's definitely ordering the model 3 - the big question remains if he should upto the performance or not. @Dan you said you felt that it was not worth 10k, for him though he definitely likes the look of the 20 inch wheels better (though obviously if one is price conscious it will cost more over time). Also those red breaks look real hot:)

One big thing I'm thinking is that I wonder (gonna research this now) if the Non performance long range has more range, I see that they all say 310 miles, but I know that they played with the #s a bit so people wouldn't just not go with the performance.
@Dan used your link:) Ordered the performance lol.

Model 3 pricing has dropped around 3k across the board fyi. Consistent with previous drops after tax credit decreases @Dan

Elon is very good at making sure that all of the credit goes into his pocket.

Its a great deal for a Performance AWD for 50k, when compared to the 68k price for the Performance in 2018

Agreed, I would have gotten the white interior if it was available.

interesting. Supposedly it'll keep going up. I saw one "expert" claim it'll be worth 50k one day. It's essentially an investment with the hopes that sooner than later it'll be functional (as a self driving feature)

If it ends up as fully self driving and Tesla successfully starts an "uber" platform it can possibly be worth quite alot.
But if other car companies become successful in making their own level 5 self driving then it'll bring the price right back down.

right. Also keep in mind that the FSD obviously goes based on the car not the owner.... So, can't hold the stock for a few years:)

They should have it that if you trade in your car you keep the FSD level purchased...
