It's the same MSRP. That all I'm saying. And it leases horribly. Can't change the facts.
But they have very different 3 year residuals...

Perhaps the ioniq is just more overpriced?

The difference is that the Ioniq is made by a traditional car manufacturer that throws a bunch of incentives, plus lower interest rates, plus discounts on the purchase price as mentioned above. Tesla doesn't do that, so it doesn't lease well. That's all. I'm not comparing the 2 cars to each other. I'm comparing the similar MSRPs with vastly different lease prices.

Bolt has a larger MSRP then the Ioniq for some reason

The fact the the vehicle manufacturer does that shows that the MSRP is not actually what it is worth.
I'm not who you think I am.

Agreed, but that is what gets compared. The whole industry is like that. Then you have to figure out who gives bigger discounts, but that's on the individual dealers, and incentives and interest rates that change every month and are different in every market, etc.

Tesla is the only one that doesn't have that. Not saying it as a fault, just saying that it's very different.

It’s a foot longer, sure. But not bigger  in terms of usable space bc of bolts weird shape. Similar interior room and trunk space.

But much worse range and ev performance.

I've never tested the Ioniq, but I'm in love with the Bolt's performance. I assumed the Ioniq was about the same

Not quite. Bolt has better performance and better range. Ionic is significantly wider and longer and is much more practical as a small family second car. The bolt is too small to be anything more than a one person car. Ioniq is also more comfortable and has more features thrown in as part for the course for Hyundai.

I was told that there is a full browser with open internet access on screen in the Tesla and that TAG has no way to disable or filter it, so if I my teenager drives the Tesla he can simply park and enjoy unrestricted access to p**n onscreen. That’s a real dealbreaker for me. There’s a lot I would do for convenience and an enhanced experienced but not at my kids expense. (Not that I’m comfortable trusting myself with unfiltered internet, and that itself would probably be a dealbreaker, but giving my kid the car plus unfiltered is kind of like give him money and putting him in front of a בית זנות.)

Is this info accurate? Has anyone fount a workaround to address this? Thanks.

You don't have to get premium connectivity, without it the browser doesn't work unless you are connected to wifi

the browser is terribly slow and I don't think you can watch videos on it, I tried when I first got the car before they added youtube as a separate app I haven't tried recently though

From @Dan 's write-ups, it seems like they are pretty open and receptive to good ideas, so suggest it to them

As per Tesla’s website it looks like Tesla’s ordered after 2018 actually come with a 1 year free trial of premium cellular connectivity and Tesla’s ordered before them come with free cellular connectivity for life. I wonder if you can decline the free lifetime/trial premium and go WiFi only. Won’t stop you kid from driving out to the nearest free hotspot but better than cellular.

I just checked if it's in valet mode the browser's inaccessible ( you can also put a speed and acceleration limit on)

How long have you had the car?
Tesla used to have a 7 day return policy no questions asked but I think they may have gotten rid of it

Can I ask why you want to get rid of it?

I have the car for 2 years already. I took out a lease for a Lexus. It wasn't so comfortable for me. Any ideas what to do with it?

Thanks
