Is it possible to map out a different route than the Tesla preferred route? I'm trying to locate charging stations on a different route

Not through the gps in the car the next big update is rumored to be able to add waypoints.

There are website that will plan your route along charging stations

I'm nearly ready to take the plunge and order a Model 3 but have a few questions if anyone can please chime in, it would be appreciated.

  • I commute long distance for work and while there are plenty of chargers on the way, at my destination they seem to be extremely limited, how much battery do they lose over 3 days with minimal driving?
  • I plan on getting long range, how realistic is the range and how much does it really lose in the cold?
  • What is the difference between the 18" wheels and 19", I like the look of the 19" much more but read something about not being good in the snow?
  • Do I need a wall charger for fast charging at home (and is that included with the car?) or do I just need to get an electrician to install a 220v?
  • If I don't pay for the full self driving, what exactly is included on the auto pilot? Will my car be able to drive itself (in one lane) for long highway distances?

Thanks

1. how far is the commute? Really depends based on temperature outside, also keeping sentry mode on may make a difference if there is constant movement around the car.
2. Depends on how efficiently you drive, I like to enjoy the acceleration of the car so I don't get close to the full range, I'm not sure exactly how much is lost in the cold but it is quite significant (maybe 20%?) although it is supposed to be improved with the new heat pump they added.
3. Not sure the difference in the snow but the 18 inch have aero caps on it which help boost range, also I believe larger tires are less efficient overall
4. I do not have a wall charger, I use the mobile charger that came with the car attached to a 200v NEMA 14-50 outlet. You may need to buy the 14-50 attachment separately now (not positive).
5.

Yes.

The $10k wager is a nice way to hedge a bet on the stock.
