It seems the acceleration was the bigger factor here.
If it was a regular car, the guy would have been able to open the door.

Seems to me like he started accelerating before his hand touched the car. Nevertheless remarkable.

-Model 3 cameras will catch the perp.

Not necessarily, unfortunately.

If you just enter your car and are still parked, is your door locked?

Assuming the car was in park how did he just accelerate?

When I put my car in drive I think it automatically locks. Also, I always lock my car when I am just sitting there

CMIIW, but I think most cars don't lock until you hit 20MPH or so.

Teslas can be in Drive and at a full stop without needing to hold the brake. Not sure if it locks at some point or speed.

True unless the car was never put in park.

-Model 3 hidden door handle and incredible acceleration saved him.
-Model 3 cameras will catch the perp.
Also glass seems like it can withstand metal balls being hurled at it.

Is there any filtering options for the screen?

I was told that there is a full browser with open internet access on screen in the Tesla and that TAG has no way to disable or filter it, so if I my teenager drives the Tesla he can simply park and enjoy unrestricted access to p**n onscreen. That’s a real dealbreaker for me. There’s a lot I would do for convenience and an enhanced experienced but not at my kids expense. (Not that I’m comfortable trusting myself with unfiltered internet, and that itself would probably be a dealbreaker, but giving my kid the car plus unfiltered is kind of like give him money and putting him in front of a בית זנות.)

Is this info accurate? Has anyone fount a workaround to address this? Thanks.

I just checked if it's in valet mode the browser's inaccessible ( you can also put a speed and acceleration limit on)

Tesla just reported first-quarter vehicle production and delivery numbers for 2021. In total, it delivered 184,800 vehicles and produced 180,338 cars.

Analysts were expecting Tesla to deliver around 168,000 vehicles during this period, according to estimates compiled by FactSet as of April 1. Estimates ranged from 145,000 to 188,000 deliveries.

Tesla's latest delivery numbers represented more than a 100% increase from the same period last year when the company first began deliveries and volume production of Model Y. However, Tesla Q1 deliveries increased by just over 2% from the quarter ending 2020 when Tesla delivered 180,570 vehicles.

That's incredible.

They're a great company with an insanely overvalued and unjustifiable share price.
