If you charge at SuperChargers you don't need anything.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

The only time you need your own charger is at home. Any public charger has its own plug.

What is the average savings between the cost of gas vs electricity for relatively similar usage? I've done some research, but being that the two fluctuate at very different rates, it's hard to find decent data. I also was curious if any of the info I've seen lines up with actual user experience.

Part of it depends on where your located and your electricity rates

I drove 16,175 miles and used 4,958kwh
My local utility rates are about $.20 per kwh between usage and delivery charges
I am also part of a program that pays me back $.10 per kwh if I charge at night plus other bonuses for good charging habits and referrals
In all based on $.20kwh I spent $991 on electricity for 16175 miles of driving and received $1,298.35 from the charging rewards program

That included 2 $25 referrals, the $200 signup bonus and 2 $25 surveys I believe

So total spent on electric is both of those numbers, or is the $991 included in the $1,298.35? If the former, it seems you paid about $0.14/mile. Does that sound right?

That's precisely what I was asking. I'm just trying to figure out how the price per mile compares, or how the total bill is vs the total gas bill was.
