No idea but someone told me about this and I really want to get it. Just want to hear from someone who has used it first.

Me too but reviews look iffy, and how to use isn't so clear...

reviews are not great but there are tons of these out there so you just have to look until you find one that's good

I did that for a few years. I also used to sell them. Also picks up the Fox and MY9 Yankee games.

Make sure to invest in a good digital antenna (spend a min of $20). You should see a HUGE diff between powered and non, so go powered.
AFAIK. Lakewood has no coverage.

Beware that many of the bad reviews of certain models are due to poor recording/ SW encoding, which will only really affect you if you are recording. Also Beware, that off-brand/no-name adapters can WRECK you system, so stick with name/semi-name brands, with good reviews

These are over the air (OTA) stations. Just like radio stations, you need to be in the broadcast radius.
When the signal were analog, if you have a semi-good signal, you would be able to watch, with just a little static. Now that all signals are digital, if you have a semi-good signal, it drops frames, freezes, and is nearly unwatchable, so you need to make sure you have a really good signal/antenna

This model was the last one I was using: Avermedia AVerTVHD Volar (A868R).
Don't know if it's still available. Software wasn't the greatest, but I figured out how to hook up VLC to it, so it was fine.

See Lakewood has no "Excellent" stations, and I don't think medium will be watchable with a portable antenna. Unless you have an "outdoor antenna 30 feet above ground level"

Ive used this one for a couple of years, it works great
Hauppauge is probably the best company out there right now (better than pinnacle) but it doesn't come cheap.

Don't forget, they are assuming you have a outdoor antenna 30' off the ground. With an indoor antenna you might not even pick up the channel
