hidden city question

I want to make a ticket from yul -tlv and then returning from tlv - yyz switch airports and from hamilton -yul the next morning.
my question is if when i get to yyz and ditch the last leg of the ticket would i be making a mistake to book a ticket to a different destination from yyz on the same  airline?

Should be fine, assuming the law is the same as the US where you luggage comes out to be rechecked.
