The $15 Uber Cash credit for March is in my Uber account.  If I cancel my Amex Platinum this week, will the $15 be automatically removed out of my Uber account?

My wife received an offer for the Amex Plat. for 125,000 points, + 10x for supermarkets for 6 months.
I already have a Amex Plat. for our travel benefits etc.
Question: Is it worth it to apply for her for the points and 6m 10x supermarkets (spend $400/week)?
Long term its not the card I would use for our everyday expenses, for that we currently use no fee 2% citi cash back.
Does it pay to apply, get the points and consider downgrading in a year or so? Whats the lowest fee card she could downgrade to?
Thanks!

absolutely

You'll be getting 125,000 MR + ~100,000 MR
Plus all of the statement credits so you'll come out far ahead.

In regards to downgrading, it's definitely worth getting even if you won't keep long-term. But downgrading isn't the best option with the Platinum card being that the card with the lowest annual fee you can downgrade to is the green card with a $150 annual fee. Thankfully that is not an issue because you can easily cancel after 12 months with no repercussions.

Much success!

Does anyone have any inside/updated information regarding new perks on the Amex Business Platinum. Annual fee coming up on the 23rd and no retention offer so far...
Want to know if its worth holding on and canceling (prorated refund) in a bit to see if some good perks will be added..

Just make sure you wait until your next AF posts to downgrade.

Topcasback.com has 9% back at Dell for the next 12 hours. So today is a good time to do your Dell spend...

I got charged the AF and spaced out about it for two months. I had no idea after that he month I would have to pay it despite cancelling the card for the year! I had no bloody idea I had to pay that AF within the month. Anyone have any experience with this or can direct me to the right forum for this?
Thanks

They should be able to pro-rate the AF if you close or downgrade the card.
