I just want the bike, don’t wanna pay any monthly membership

I'm not sure what you are asking - the value in a Peloton or similar is the connected classes and workouts. Unfortunately no one gives those away for free. You can find plenty of exercise bikes under $1000 (I think Nordictrack or Sole make some in the 7-800 range).

I’ve only used peloton once,
but basically just looking for a bike that has an interactive screen and that there can be different levels of difficulty. I don’t need classes or specific workouts

If you are not purchasing it for the interactive class functions, I would say you are spending money unnecessarily.  The whole point of the Peloton is the motivation that comes with doing a class with direction.  And don't buy the bike if you won't pay the monthly subscription fee.

The bike itself is not going to be changed anytime soon, they upgrade the screen every once in a while.

I got mine on used on craigslist and am very happy with it.

Got a Peloton a while back and curious if there are other riders out there?
Wish I had the cash to spare for a tread, right now I have the bike.

Love it!

I would love to see them keep this benefit past 2021, it's a real money saver.

I paid $2k but that included something like 20 months of prepaid subscription.  You can get one used for a reasonable price, though it does mean the warranty is void.  I personally haven't had any issues with my bike.  Also, they recently reduced the price of the original bike to $1895.  If you are going to use it, it's worth it.  If you aren't, it's another expensive clothes hanger.

I think it was specifically to your account charges - you *could* look at it this way -

- with the money you save on your account ($120) you can buy the shoes and you'll get the money back over the next year
- You could also get the $10/month on your subscription and buy another pair of SPD cleat shoes that are peloton compatible

As a Peloton alternative, I recommend a Concept 2 rower and the asensei app, which combines great coaching from expert coaches including an Olympic gold medal rower with personalized goals based on readings from Concept 2's bluetooth enabled PM5 monitor. It's a better whole body workout than cycling and cheaper.

i bought a peloton for my wife ( @Dan she requested it, not on my own accord ;D)
she felt the workouts were very intense and did not like them so i returned it. I'm too cheap to keep it only for myself
update. I do deserve it for myself. ;D

I reordered it in August and got it in October because they were back ordered. Im loving it amazing workout that takes half hour+10minute shower.
way less time than going to gym yet IMO better workout.

Im a big fan. If anyone else is on it and wants to PM me their username to connect and maybe ride together at times would be awesome.

Pleased to note that @Dan has joined the club!

I recently started taking strength classes as an alternative to the bike on some days, and I like the change.

Any particular Male instructors that you can recommend? I'm open to suggestions  in all categories other than cycling.
