Lighting Chanukah Candles in EWR Terminal C
« on: November 21, 2018, 10:30:09 AM »
Hi-

I am a first time poster and I hope this is the correct forum to post this question.  Apologies if not.

I have a 3 hour layover during Chanukah next week in EWR, term C (UA) for a 6:30PM int'l flight and I would like to figure out a way to light actual oil candles and spend 30 mins with them somewhere in or very near the airport.

Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

Thank you.

Did you speak with your LOR to determine whether you would actually fulfill the mitzva of Chanukah Candles when lighting at the airport?

doubt they will let you light in the airport.

Maybe call the Marriott and see if they can help out

Welcome to DDF! I saw your post on FT and my first thought was that this would probably be a better forum to ask in.

I will be in MIA on Chanukkah and am waiting on my LOR to call me back with a final psak. His preliminary thoughts were that I shouldn't be lighting at all, and be yotzei with my wife who will be lighting at home. (Unlike Dan, I am leaving home long before the plag.)
