For those who don't read Hebrew:
Rav Sorotzkin (along with another 180 signatures) declared this evening they will now be avoiding El Al, since they haven't met the deadline to apologise by Sunday evening.
According to the article, Rav Sorotzkin was scheduled on an El Al flight to the US shortly after midnight tonight and has rebooked on Swiss

Hopefully it will effect their bottom line and they will change. It is doesn't effect their bottom line it will just embolden them.

It'll be hard to tell if it hurt their bottom line, since their bottom line is already all the way at the bottom

(see reporting of losses from the past few quarters...)

I think they made a small profit last quarter but considering it was the summer quarter and they were barley profitable, it isn't good.

$885 to/from NY? Where do you have that?
Either way, do what's cheapest and most convenient. Chances are that the boycott will be over by the time you fly... Also, there was no publicized letter from any Rabbonim asking people to avoid them.

What changed now? the title is wrong, its just a boycott by him, not an "official" boycott.

The tickets are for next week from New York. I can’t believe they mean that just a few people are boycotting. They obviously want it to be more wide spread. Otherwise it doesn’t accomplish much. There are cheaper options, but it includes a stopover. Would rather go direct

From NY nonstop should be $969 unless you're booking through some fly-by-night OTA (not recommended)
