ordered, just see the update that it’s dead. didn’t see any mention about gift card, but thought that maybe it doesn’t have to say anything.

Ask a chat rep if you got the gift card offer. If not, I would ask if they can compensate in some other way. If they don't offer any compensation I would cancel.

I used Dan's link, the offer showed throughout the checkout process.
Per the terms, you'll get the gift cards after 75-90 days of activation.

I seen the post about Amex after I purchased. I did add it now. The conformation page said I would not be charged until it ships. Will the temp charge fall off then come back in a week or so?

How do you know? The fact that they let you check out doesn’t mean anything, because they also let you check out with a new number, which is against the t&c
