wonder if anyone can help..

I have two amex cards both ending with the same 4 digits.. and and expiration dates just 2 months apart.
The $100 promo was on one of them (the biz card).

When ordering the phone (749 pixel) I put in the card number of the biz card.

Today I noticed the pending charge on my OTHER amex (non biz) which was stored in google payments wallet from a previos purchase.

This is a mistake by google, and they can't seem to figure out how to switch the payment now. they suggested asking amex to switch over the charge. anyone heard of that option? would amex do such a thing? would it qualify for the $100 offer?

It happened to me, but I caught it right before confirming the purchase.

Have we come to a conclusion on how to know if the gift card promo was activated on the purchase or not?

My first purchase went thru at 10:04 (EST)  but I canceled that one because I used the wrong CC and the next purchase went thru at 10:18 (EST). Spoke with a rep today and she confirmed that as long as I purchase before 11:59 (PST) I am eligible, but I don’t fully trust her, so I had her send me an email, but it’s still vague.

Hi XXX,

Thank you for contacting Project Fi support.

We have confirmed that your order GS. XXXX XXXX XXXX. To qualify for this promotion, a device must be activated within 15 days of device shipment and remain active for 60 consecutive days within 75 days of device shipment. The device must be activated within the same plan that was used to purchase the device. Activation must be for full service (i.e., activation does not apply to a data-only SIM).

After the terms have been satisfied, the customer will receive an email from Google Fi (around 75 - 90 days after device activation) with instructions on how to obtain a gift card from Tango subject to Tango’s terms and conditions.

Obviously If you contact Amex to switch charge, do not mention Amex offer as being the reason

Question,

I ordered the phone on an existing fi account. I want to keep the ordered phone for a different provider. I'm assuming i don't need to activate the specific phone i ordered.

Do you guys think my 60 days activation requirement already started? i would ask a google fi csr but that is a bit awkward "i'm not using that phone on fi".

Did anyone that ported a GV number get the email about the gift cards? I only got the shipping email.
