Or, they'll simply charge your ACCOUNT, not CC, and failure to pay that will likely result in collections.

When rep responded to AJK, he did not seem so sure, and also didn't answer the question that was asked until he was forced to, and sounds like he just guessed. I'm 99 percent it would be fine -especially after the DP that it shows as active- but it's a lot of money to gamble with.

Off topic, but when you go out of the USA, you can dial from Hangouts Dialer app when using the mobile data, and will be charged as if you were calling from the USA, so whatever the regular GV rate is plus the data consumed, which is .6 to 1 MB perminute, so about 1cent per minute in addition to the GV/FI rate. Otherwise, it's at least 20 cents per minute for calls from outside the US.

I switched sims. Still shows active and no pop ups on my promo page. Also got an email confirmation that I'm still eligible after switching sims. We shall see.

In addition I have screenshots and an email of the chat.

When I have my Sim active it says Google Fi is not your active carrier however I do not recall it ever having to be my active carrier, all I need to make sure is service is not paused or suspended. I am being billed and my cycle days are going lower so obviously it's active in that sense.

My guess is, in all likelihood, using physical sim from another carrier will not make someone ineligible.

But, boy, if Google wanted a way to wriggle out of these obligations, this is where they'd start. Not sure it's worth $1000 to figure out...

I’m sure it’s ok to do. I’m afraid to risk it. I can wait the four months. I’m an apple guy but I’m liking the phone. It would be very nice to try it with my real phone number.

As soon as you activate one service on your device, the other one goes deactivated. Hence, if you insert any other service provider's SIM card in the device and activate it, then you won't be eligible for the 'Travel on Fi' promotional benefits.

It's been there for about two weeks.
On my account it showed the regular promo, and on my wife's it shows the 200 dollar even i had previously been assured that it was eligible for the full promo. They're still getting back to me now...

What does it mean deactivated? Clearly I can tell you the service is not paused. So it's deactivated and I am being charged but it's not paused and I won't be eligible for the promo!?

That makes no sense.

I put in a sim card in Ukraine, it still shows that I'm on track to receive the $800 gift card in the link above.
