Amazon disclosed email address
« on: November 29, 2018, 08:09:25 AM »
I recently got the following email from Amazon.
Hello,

We’re contacting you to let you know that our website inadvertently disclosed your email address due to a technical error. The issue has been fixed. This is not a result of anything you have done, and there is no need for you to change your password or take any other action.

Sincerely,

Customer Service
Amazon

Did anyone else get this? Should I try to get something from them due to this?

You're sure it's a legit email from Amazon?

Even if there was no reason at all for any concern anyone and everyone would say something like "out of an abundance of caution we suggest you change your password etc.." the fact that it says straight up  "there is no need for you to change your password or take any other action" is very suspicious
If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.

Seems pretty legit. It’s from no-reply@amazon.com, with no links attached. I got it a couple of days ago with no follow up email...

I guess the robots are not programmed to be cautious
