LOST (TV series) I just wasted a year+

I just finished watching the whole series of Lost. I must say, I'm quite disappointed with the way it ended.
I did frown all along since the first time the "spiritual element" (monster, dead people etc.) appeared on the series, but I was enough "hooked" into it with real questions that I kind of let it go and thought that maybe it was just a side thing and that it wouldn't influence the outcome of things as much as it did.
Once in the 6th season, where the show is plastered with all these spiritual phenomenons (jacob, eternal beings, the light) left and right... I mean... I just watched it cause I had to finish it, because of all the time that I put into it, and because maybe, just maybe, the end would have proved to be more realistic than it was.
I'm no writer but as a viewer I feel that all along it could have been kept to reality and it would have been ten times better (although time travel did introduce a very interesting twist in the plot).
Majorly disappointed, anyone with me?

Yes, I spent a couple months watching Lost as well.
I was very disappointed with the ending. I felt as if many of my questions were unanswered, and many issues just got worse as more was explained.

Prison Break wasn't bad, although I think it could have ended after the 2d season the same way more or less.

24 is meh.

Grey's Anatomy is better than all of those, but a bit more risque.

But the king of them all- House. 8th season starting soon, although I don't know how since Dr. House is hiding somewhere in the Caribbean or whatnot.

It could be very enjoyable until you hit a "supernatural" pocket, and then things go "back to normal" for awhile, but there always this looming and ever increasing fantastic side of it that just makes you wonder what you're doing watching this in the first place. The end season SUCKS!

For whoever watched it:
The flash-sideways, why couldn't that have taken place in (another future) real life as opposed to in "purgatory" and things can end in a much more real way like everyone going back to their life with their "new" acquaintances included in it?

2 Seasons of House (including the current one).

plus other assorted stuff. this might include the summer, during which I was working 40 hrs/week.

Thanks for all the recommendation, but I don't have THAT much time. I kind of took a gamble when I started watching Lost, i don't think I will be starting another series in a long, long time.
BTW, who was your favorite character? Mine is Ben no doubt. In and out of the island.

I wanted them to kill him a million times. I hated his guts, even after knowing how he grew up.

That series was bad. A law school buddy actually warned me when I was on like season 3, but you just feel like you need to know what happens.

I agree. I followed the series for a couple of years and was majorly disappointed by the final season. There are a million ways they could have ended it "Lost style", and still keep viewers happy. The spiritual element killed it imo.

Lost definitely does not compare to 24. It was pretty good in the beginning and then it got weird. I dont think we ever finished it

and its too bad... i liked where the show was headed
