Is there a strategy to use to avoid the dreaded "only for new cardmembers" response, considering Dan says it's a dead end if received?
I have done some research on that a little while back on FT. There is absolutely no way to have them reconsider this. The best you can do is wait 60 days for the consumer or 90 days for the business, and try again.
This is extremely YMMV, but some people have had success signing up other people for the card and putting in their own AA number on the application.
This has worked for some, and has not worked for others.
