Best way to clean my menora?
« on: December 09, 2018, 10:25:06 PM »
any Tips on cleaning the oil cups? It’s impossible !
I’ve tried soaking overnight in water, in amonia and a lot of other things...
Anyone have any simple way of doing it?

Rinse a few times with hot, soapy water, and agitate as much as your glasses will handle.

Soaking doesn't help much, because even if you release the oil, the glasses are still sitting in the oil. Heat and soap will loosen the oil, and agitating and rinsing will help drain the oil. (I personally used a 2 pound container with a cover, put in glasses, soap, and hot water, and shook. Emptied and repeated a few times.)

Start with this, I have also found denture cleaning tablets to work well, after many uses the glass can get permanently stained and is worth replacing as they tend to weaken and shatter after that point.

I've done this and then clean each one off with a paper towel to get off any remaining grease.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.
