Someone did something terrible. It does not appear that anyone here knows the father (or if he does, he isn't saying), so I'm not sure what else we're gaining by talking about it.
I would point out one thing, though. We watch that video, and we're horrified. We're sickened. It's disgusting.
And once again, don't get me wrong, it is.
But - how different are we? Most of us are not tempted to thrash our children, certainly not in public. But do we let our anger get the better of us? And, under that spell, perhaps we yell at our children, make them feel bad, hurt them in ways other than physical?
Or, perhaps we feel self-righteous about other things that we do in public, and we justify them, but we really are causing a chillul hashem.
My point is this - hashem didn't let us see this video so we could point at that guy and feel good about how bad he is, and how wonderful we are. We're supposed to learn something from it (See rashi on the connection between nazir and sotah).
