Not sure if I missed a thread on this, but what is the cheapest way to set up an extra phone for the kids to use when they go shopping or to shul.  This phone will not get a lot of regular use. No data needed.  I am looking to find something with little or no monthly charge.  Thanks!

They're service isn't so good. Plus they try to nickel and dime you

During the first month of service, I went to my account on line and turned off all the extras. I think I needed to 'top it off' with $10 or so.
Now I get a .01 charge each month.  It includes 200 minutes, 500 texts and 500 MB data.  I use a few minutes.
They have phones you can buy for cheap; they constantly have specials where you get the phone even cheaper.

I've heard that.  Maybe it's because my account is newer than  yours.  But I won't argue with .12 a year.
