So writing them a check knowing there is no funds in the account is OK?
If the check is for goods or services, or as a teaser that you’ll have to call to cancel in order to not pay?
If it’s for actual goods and services, that’s like simply giving a bad credit card for a real transaction, which is of course fraud. But if it’s for a similar thing, like a trial that needs to be cancelled, then yes, I’m not sure you’re right that it’s fraud. I’m not confident I’m right, just I never thought this was so.
