Hilton Honors Question

I have a hilton honors reservation for 4 nights and one for 1 night - and I want to combine to get the 5th night free.  They say no since if you try to do the full reservation there is no availability - any thoughts?

I have been able to do this through SPG - Hilton is just being difficult.

Is it possible to transfer Honors points to a spouse for free?
