i'm thinking of starting a new thread on this because search was very unhelpful. i want to do a road trip lasting 10 days starting June 30th in NYC going to Denver. i want to make as many stops for good Kosher food along the way. i want to do Philly, Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, Kansas City, etc. i will use apps like hotel tonight for hotel bookings because my goal is to be cheap, not fancy. i'll try to use points if i can though. can anyone be of help with a- route planningb- food destinations- places not to be missedc- best shabbos options where chabad or the like will helpd- helpful tips for anything i might not know about
Did you end up doing this? Can you offer and advice?I want to do exactly that, Looking to rent a RV and do a Road Trip with young kids out of NYC for 5-7 days.Any advice appreciated.Tia!
Where to fly with the kids in August that won't be affected by Zika...
Join me in BCN?
When are you going?
If its not burned to the ground by then. Watch the news much lately?
Orlando
And do a trip report of Disney
Think of CLE-MCI on Thurs, catch the Indians-Royals game and try out the new kosher stand on Sunday, see the total eclipse on Monday, and fly to Rome for 2 nights before flying home for Shabbos.Thoughts? Better ideas?
First half: like.Second half: flying to Rome for 2 days with kids is nuts. Do something closer and less elaborate, like an interesting city or something (San Antonio, for instance).
This week or in the summer? I'd do the eclipse in BNA in August for the best view. Get some pointers from SF in how to take pictures. Rent a house for the weekend.
Why is BNA any better than S. Joseph, MO?
I'd prefer to see it outside a city but you could do that near st josephs - similar to outside Nashville by center of path. The benefit is you could check out a different city. I'm sure you've been to mci a lot of times with the kids.
