There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.


The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

It seems family members account is blocked from transferring UR at all, even to travel partner accounts in their own name. After multiple calls and escalations was told to refer to program t&c, implying a previous violation. Anyway around this or to have this restriction removed??

Can’t speak if it works on apparel but Peloton monthly membership autobills your CC monthly - no way as far as I know to make a prepayment more than the current month due.

To clarify - if I currently have a reserve that - can I downgrade to the Freedom and them upgrade back to the reserve and get the bonus (it is has been 48 months since my original bonus) without a credit pull or 5/24 ?

No. Do get the bonus you need to apply for a new one.

this credit can apply to any Global Entry or TSA PreCheck membership charged to the primary cardholder’s account or the authorized user account, but there is only one credit.

I had a Sapphire Reserve for around 5 years and just read that I could cancel it and then sign up again for it and get the bonus point offer.  2 weeks ago I cancelled my Sapphire Reserve card and today I tried applying online for a new Sapphire Reserve card but I was declined.  I have near perfect credit over 800.  I got notification on Chase that I still have a Sapphire card and that's why I was denied even though that card is now closed.  Any advice?
