All depends on what you want to use the points for.

If you dont have plans of travel in the near future then sell them. Nut IMHO hold onto some to transfer into Avios, as there is decent availability and low redemption options for a lot of domestic locations

FTFY
The most value usually is when flying business/first

When you sell amex points you're not at risk just as when you sell UR points?

I'm curious how many people actually sell their miles.

I keep wondering if one day they're going to only allow tickets booked in the account holders name.

there must be a huge business of selling /buying miles (I have never sold miles as I try to follow laws, rules and t&c)
Ana will only let you book for people registered in your profile.

And not let me book my wife or kids a ticket? sounds unlikely to me

on Dan's I would say many , if had to guess --15%-20% --  all collectors less than 1%

like you say , eventually they will require some kind of documentation of relationship for  tickets , maybe because the "total" abuse is small and the cost to verify expensive and intrusive they may not and only do as a spot check

I have never sold , I think the t/c are unfair since you earned them they should be yours to dispose of

JAL only allows for you to book for immediate family.
