How can I delete an icon from my desktop? Tried everything but to no avail...

    I saved a pdf and click saved Microsoft print to pdf. after i did that I tried opening the file and got an error. Picture of error can be seen below.


 I've tried:

1 - Right Click + Delete

2 - Moving to Recycling Bin (including dragging to Recycling Bin)

3 - Renaming File

 Really weird.

 Came across this with no answers.

Went to windows Explorer, file Manger and clicked End task. Still nadda.

The regular place where you click into folders etc. Under My Computer there is a folder called desktop. Delete the item from there.

Worked like a charm , but did it actually delete the file or hide the file in some other folder?

Tried that, still no go, in the end tried that program, downloaded and it and it seemed to remove it, lets hope its off my computer and not in some random hidden place on my computer.
