None of the Cavs big 3 qualify for that theory. Their losses are all quantifiable.
Quantifiable losses? Never seen that written as a prerequisite (or more precisely, disqualification).
So what does happen if Lebron has another 40 point triple double in game 6 and the cavs lose?
Curry doesn't deserve mvp because he stunk the first 3 or so games, Thompson has been so-so, Igodala would have had my vote but he went like 1-10 from the free throw and wasn't very good yesterday.
Can a losing team player win MVP? Probably not, but if so does Curry just get it by default?
Through 5 games, he's averaging 26/5/6 on 45/41/94 shooting with 1.6 steals. I agree that's not typical finals MVP level, but it's certainly good enough to win it. And why does everyone keep saying he stunk the first 3 games? Game 2 he stunk for sure, but the other 2 games he was good - not MVP good, but all-star good (26.5/5/7 on 50/47/100 shooting).
LBJ has been impressive, for sure. But the gaudy numbers haven't come with much efficiency.
