which airline should i fly
« on: November 30, 2011, 02:31:04 AM »
i am going to make a ticket from lax-jfk for feb (chof bais shevat)
right now outgoing flights are $140 and only delta has returns for $140 as well, though the others may come down soon?

so im debating which airline i should take

jetblue - its comfortable and free baggage, but i have no mileage or points with them
delta - not a great airline, but i am silver - and i can just book a roundtrip now without waiting
aa - i am nowhere near million miles and i only have 12,000 miles for this year so far and i will prob only take one more trip besides this upcoming one, but i would like to get elite status

AA- Being that the trip is in Feb, the miles won't combine (for elite status) with the 12k you have now.

With elite status on Delta and with the cheapest tickets, I would go with them.

0% chance of an upgrade from LAX-JFK as a silver but prob still makes the most sense

How often do you fly? If the miles aren't that important to you then go with JetBlue. By far the most comfortable coach in the US.

I pick AA for the more flexible same day change policies, which I find come in handy

So if my ticket is class O, can I go standby for free?

Not unless you're elite.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

virgin is far more preferable for me, due to the decent selection of shows to watch on tv

And I take it that AA CC won't help me with that either.. CMIIW

Understandable, but now discussing fares VA is $119 and AA $124 and with CC I get free bag. Ud still go for VA?

I know I said price aside. But now I was asking ur opinion with price.
A bag is $25 each.
So for you its worth the extra $25 just for entertainment?
