I have an AA award flight coming up. If I can't go, do I need to cancel a certain amount of time in advance to have my miles reinstated (for the fee)? 48 hours? 24 hours? 2 hours?

...what if you have a multi-city itinerary, and fly the first leg, but need to cancel the remaining legs (MIA-ORD in May, ORD-CDG in Oct)? I'm assuming once you fly a leg, you're in for the whole miles spend, yes?

I think it's $150 to reinstate miles, can someone confirm/correct?
