Am a fan.

Although estate sales can be a little weird.

Always dream of getting something and then finding out it is worth millions of dollars. Like so.

If I went more often I'd be broke.
Bought this week eight board games in perfect condition (monopoly, sorry, ticket to ride, trouble, battleship, etc.), mini rocking chair, four brand new $40 leather photo albums, eight Wii games and three controllers, 20 books, some art supplies, and some other stuff all for $100.

I usually go for the "collectibles" and other items i feel may be able to flip for profit. Although i probably will not end up selling anything. I have gotten some good pieces of art at great prices. My best piece was/is an Amram Ebgi for ~$35 in the frame.

Furnished our original apt with estate sale stuff.

Dining room table set with chairs was $150, now we use it in our kitchen.
Awesome leather recliner was $150 as well though now it's been relegated to the basement.
Got Risk and Monopoly for 25 cents each.
Bought Garcia the bear for 25 cents to remind me of the good old days when I'd have been able to get $250 for it on ebay

Good stuff 
You have to know the second hand market prices.
We've gotten many thing ranging from ac's, toys, art, tools etc.
