Just saw a news piece about this offering and thought folks here might like to read about it. The new product (only in the UK) gives up to 3% cash back on purchases if you reach a modest annual spending threshold, have life insurance and health insurance, and log a certain amount of physical activity each month.
https://about.americanexpress.com/press-release/cobrand-cards/american-express-and-vitality-launch-new-cashback-credit-cardAt first this looked interesting, but then I noticed there's a monthly fee AND a cap on bonus earnings each month (6 GBP fee and cap at 1000 GBP) making the whole thing nonsense. That's a lot of hoops to jump through for a maximum of $14 per month.
