It’s important you reach out and let them know you’re available to listen if they need support, that you’re davening for them, and that you’ve collected resources if they’re interested (even if they don’t want to talk).
I recall hearing from Rav Ezriel Erlanger Shli'ta (Mashgiach of Mir Brooklyn) - When someone is going through a hard time, don't tell them anything about Emunah, because that is not what they want to hear! Just make sure to be there for them.

@mods maybe update thred title to Trisomy 21/Down Syndrome.

Would probably make it more useful as most people are more familiar with the latter rather than the former
