Did paying the cc companies actually work?

Didn't work for me. Was it a specific bank that worked?
Mortgages didn't work either.

Ok to be clear, there were limited billers that you could pay directly with credit card. There were some that were very lucrative and scalable. This was one type of play.

The other play was to use debit/gift cards; there were tons of billers that accepted these and allowing you to deposit directly into a checking account.

The few that still work aren't scalable (unless you consider downscaling  :'(.)

Who will fill this void? Is there an opportunity for some entrepreneur?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

What was the purpose, MS? Otherwise you'd pay 2.9% to 'pay' your card, wouldn't you?

There are no fees to pay bills, but not all bills work when paying with a CC.

Shame that I didn't know that before.  Now that it's dead do you mind to explain how it worked ? You paid chase with an amount card and kept rotating and earning points or what?
