No BEST option. AA DL B6 and UA fly that route non-stop.

Last time we flew into SNA (in between LAX an SAN) and saved a bundle, but we were visiting both the LAX and SAN areas.

SNA from NY is only service by UA from EWR and is usually more $$

I flew PIT-EWR-IAH-SNA-EWR-PIT, ah the things I would do for a $150 RT flight in the pre-baby days!
The 777-220 lie-lat upgrade for EWR-IAH on top of all the miles and the cheap fare definitely made it worthwhile.
