Interestingly I can still book chauffeur service online for my upcoming trips ticketed prior to August 10, so I suspect this rule applies for tickets issued as of August 10.

That's what I was banking on. And it worked.

Update: It did not work. The website said it worked but I did not receive a new ticket with the confirmation. I called to confirm and was told that they removed it due to me not being eligible. They claimed it was because the ticket was reissued (not by my request) due to a time change of 10 minutes. Such BS.

The problem is the confirmations I received that the booking took place aren't great. Basically a confirmation page without any mention of my ticket or of the date. Let me first try to get Etihad to reconfirm, but if not, I'll definitely submit a complaint
