Was thinking to start a thread in general for this type of product. Vitacost is running a nice sale now w/ at least 20% off (discount reflected in pricing on site) plus should be another 10% off w/ AFF10NEW.

Generally speaking (and veteran DDFers who use essential oils correct me if I'm wrong) less than $2/oz is the goal price for the standard oils like Lavender, Peppermint, Sweet Orange, Eucalyptus and Tea Tree. Not sure if my cart comes up in link below:

So one has to be careful when buying these as many brands are not pure essential oil but rather a carrier oil (like almond or jojoba) mixed with it. There's a pretty simple test to tell though; put a drop of it on a paper. If it dries and leaves, basically, an oi ring behind it's a dud and if it's clear (like there was nothing there) then it's good.

Essential oils' main use is not really for aromatherapy. There are MANY books on the subject and I'm sure a few DDFers here have experience as well.
