What in the world did you think I meant by "Based on your definition, yes"?
Based on where it was posted I assume it it’s a question “why do you define it this way”?

Which you have asked before and I fail to understand the question.
Judaism is a religion. So if the rules of the religion say x defines being Jewish then that’s that. Unless the question is whether or not Judaisms rules say this, I do not understand the question at all.

Let me clear that up right away. I did not post it the other thread as I look at that thread as sacred and did not want what is happening here to happen in that thread. Here I can answer the question without polluting the other thread.

I fully understand Dan's question/statement was based on his religion.

Non DDF perspective.

Tom's mom is Italian, and his dad is Irish so what is Tom? Italian and Irish.

Half Italian half Israeli then ;)

Let’s say Dad was a recent Jewish convert from China. Same?

Based on Judaisms definition. Since Judaism as a religion defines being Jewish as being born from a Jewish mother, starting from point x, it’s unclear how someone can disagree. Disagreeing is disagreeing with Judaism itself, which obviously anyone not practicing Judaism does anyway so he’d had no standing in this.
Um, do you believe that Ann Frank is Mormon because she was converted to Mormonism posthumously? After all only a Mormon can tell you who's mormon.

C'mon! There was nothing wrong with how CV wrote that.

Of course I do. Doctors give me all sides of the coin.
You actually just proved my point. When you see an issue hotly debated and a knowledgeable person on the subject only posts one side, then the person who is not knowledgeable on the subject needs to look elsewhere to get the full story and understand it better.
When is the last time a doctor at an appointment told you what anti-vax people believe? Or what Hindu healers believe? Or what Homeopathy believes?

Never you say? Did they even study those?

They are one sided, biased, and not to be trusted!

Prostate cancer.
Urologist - Recommends surgery. Hardly covered other options.
Radiation oncologist #1 - Covered every treatment possible. Latest, standard and even ones he would not recommend.
Radiation oncologist #2 - Covered the same treatments as #1. He concluded by saying if by chance the radiation treatments did not work, he would send me to RO #1 for further (different) treatments.
Received a ton of information from RO #1/2 to research. Spent a month straight reading up on it.
Went with RO #1 and the latest 5 treatment radiation plan instead of the standard 20 treatment plan.
Moral of the story. You can educate yourself to make an informed decision. Even those you feel are knowledgeable can have bias (Urologist). Needless to say, the urologist is history!!!   :)

I didn't hear any alternative medicine approaches. How many suggested aromatherapy or acupuncture among many other alternative treatments?

This is a hotly debated. According to the American Cancer society 40% of people believe cancer can be treated solely with alternative medicine.

If you mean like herbal, yes. That was a more of the monitor it closely approach/treatment.

Not sure what herbal means in this case, but how many suggested no more scans, no more going to an MD or DO but rather go to an acupuncturist or homeopathic doctor? How many suggested just doing aromatherapy or just yoga?

Yoga? I seen an ad for that to reduce an enlarged prostate.  :)

Thanks for not answering a direct question.

Of course they didn't suggest those, because they know better. Hence you proved my point, even a hotly debated topic
Sometimes the people who live something actually do know the most about it and do have the correct opinions on it.
Just because something is
an issue hotly debated and a knowledgeable person on the subject only posts one side
It doesn't mean they are wrong or need to look elsewhere, proof? Your doctors never told you about alternative medicine treatments that massive percentages of the world believe work better for treating cancer than what MD's do!

They don't have to post about it because they know it's rubbish and in this case you believe them! But in other cases you choose not to, that doesn't mean you are default right, sometimes you will be dead wrong, like if you started telling your doctor he's wrong for not suggesting acupuncture!
